Hello, my name is Annemarie. I am a talker and self-proclaimed word nerd.
Why am I the right copywriter for your project?
Who better to help you craft the right message than someone who has lived it!
During my 14 years in the event industry, I have sat at the table as both a vendor and an event organizer. Having created more trade show floorplans than I can count, played Tetris with breakout session schedules, and experienced the excitement of an early registration deadline, I GET IT!
I am a Certified Exhibition Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), a graduate of IAEE's Krakoff Leadership Institute (KLI), and serve on the board of the Meeting Professionals International Orange County Chapter (MPIOC) as the Director of Marketing.
Not to mention I own onsite shoes, have eaten far too many meals at midnight, and amassed a collection of badges and lanyards.
What’s in it for you?
It is no secret our industry is one of jargon and acronyms. Explaining that to outside vendors, or more importantly, your target audience can be challenging.
The benefit of working with me is, simply put, I can talk shop. Meaning you can deliver your message in event speak, and it’s my responsibility to translate that to reach attendees, sponsors, or potential customers.
As our business goes through a seismic shift, I have spent countless hours understanding the role virtual events will play moving forward. Using strategic language, I will guide your messaging, whether you are hosting or participating in virtual, in-person, or hybrid events.
Great, you’re an event manager and copywriter, but who are you personally?
Thanks for asking!
I thrive on “to-do” lists, deadlines, epic brainstorming sessions, and coffee, lots and lots of coffee. I love working in collaborative environments and believe partnerships create the greatest results.
When I am not writing, you can find me exercising, reading, sewing, or watching college football. I have a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and am currently enrolled in the Professional Writing Program at the University of California, Berkeley. I live in Southern California with my husband, 7-year-old daughter, and several furry friends.
